Farway Marsh community restoration project
Farway Marsh, north of Chardstock in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, was once a thriving wetland. Over time, it was drained and the Kit Brook became increasingly incised, contributing to habitat loss, reduced biodiversity and downstream flooding.
Our short, lighthearted documentary follows its community-led restoration and the reconnection of the Kit Brook to its historic floodplain. Produced in collaboration with the amazing people at Friends of the River Axe, Blackdown Hills National Landscape and Rivers Run Through Us, a National Lottery funded initiative.
